BASIC THAI COOKING CLASSES

Half-Day Training

Our professional culinary training school offers training in Thai, Pan-Asian, Western, and pastry for up to 12 weeks.  Our half-day cooking classes are designed to make novices into cooks.  All dishes are first demonstrated by the instructor and then duplicated by each student.  Training is done in air-conditioning at your own cooking station.  Each cooking station has 2 low pressure burners and 1 high pressure burner along with a dedicated area for preparation of ingredients.  Thai Chef School is a licensed private school by Thai Ministry of Education.

  • Cost: 1,000 THB
  • Time & Days: 8:45 AM, Monday-Saturday
  • Dishes to prepare:  5, including making a curry paste
  • 21 dishes available to learn
  • Pickup next to BTS On Nut (10 minutes from BTS Asoke), in front of MK Restaurant at street level.  To see a map, please click HERE.
  • Receive complimentary cold Thai herbal drink upon arrival 
  • Receive a complimentary Thai dessert (Mango with Sticky Rice) 
  • Receive written recipes in English for dishes learned
  • Certificate of Achievement awarded 
  • Market tour:  In-house air conditioned presentation with hands-on discussion of numerous Thai ingredients
  • Payment:  At the end of class either in cash (THB) or by credit card (+3%)

  • Panang curry paste (prepare)
  • Panang curry with chicken

  • Satay chicken
  • Stir fried morning glories
  • Mango with sticky rice (complimentary)

THURSDAY

  • Green curry paste (prepare)
  • Green curry with chicken
  • Tom Yum Goong
  • Stir fried rice noodles with pork (Pad See Ew)
  • Pineapple fried rice
  • Mango with sticky rice (complimentary)

FRIDAY

  • Khao Soy curry paste (prepare)
  • Khao Soy with chicken
  • Tom Yum Goong
  • Pad Thai
  • Stir fried chicken with cashews
  • Mango with sticky rice (complimentary)

SATURDAY

  • Green curry paste (prepare)
  • Green curry with chicken

VEGAN & VEGETARIAN COOKING:

Want to learn vegetarian or vegan Thai cooking?  Not a problem.   Thai recipes can be adjusted as needed.  Other ingredients such as tofu, soy proteins, mushroom sauce, soy sauce,… can be used.  Please let us know of your needs when booking.
